A small cul-de-sac variant on Warbler, named for the understated warbler that nests in the hills year-round.
The Resident Cousin
Warbler Place is the cul-de-sac sibling of Warbler Way — a short, private terminus where the enclave turns its back on through-traffic. Its namesake, the Orange-crowned Warbler, is one of the few warblers that stays in Southern California rather than migrating, a quiet, olive-gray bird easily overlooked among the brighter transients. The street shares that quality: it rewards attention. The homes here are fewer and more sequestered, their entrances tucked behind walls and motor courts, and the views arrive framed by mature landscaping rather than open glass.
Stan Lee's Last Perch
9155 Warbler Place was the former home of Stan Lee, the Marvel Comics pioneer whose co-creations—Spider-Man, the X-Men, the Avengers—reshaped twentieth-century popular myth. That a street named for a quietly plumaged warbler should shelter the architect of the modern superhero is a fittingly Bird Streets contradiction: the fantastic, hidden behind a plain gray door.
